(More customer reviews)First,let me start by saying what a beautiful enclosure this is. The build quality is outstanding as is the fit and finish. Scosche uses all 3/4 mdf not 5/8. The terminals are nickel plated with heavy duty spring loaded connectors. The carpeting job is first rate and the box is lined with sound dampening fiber fill.
A beautiful box is no good at all if it does not sound good and there is no need to worry because this thing sounds wonderful. I am forty years old and have serious home audio equipment. In fact I have three different stereo systems in various parts of my house all with Paradigm speakers and Hsu subs. I like clean bass that is accurate and low as well as loud when it needs to be. I came close to dropping a Hsu 12" in this box but a friend of mine who owns a audio shop talked me into a Rockford Fosgate 12" 2ohm P3. I have it powered by a Rockford Fosgate P300 mono amp. This little box really thumps. I have been impressed each time I get in my car and crank this puppy up. It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it. It goes low reminding me of my VTF3 MKII.
I gave serious thought to building an enclosure. I priced all the materials. When one factors in all the time and labor plus the materials and hardware it would cost more to build than to buy this box.
If you have the room and the right driver and amp this box will wake up any audio system. This sub box does not disappoint. Highly recommended.
