(More customer reviews)Most people, including me, spend their whole life and never realize that their ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher, while great for a grease or gasoline fire, is not rated so well for a fire with paper or cloth. [Neither is pure CO2 either for that matter! Who knew?] So I stumbled across this and ordered this as an adjunct to my normal ABC dry chemical extinguisher. This holds 2.5 gallons (20 pounds) of water, which is a lot. It arrives empty (very light & strong, stainless steel). You just take it empty to your local fire extinguisher servicer and have them fill it with 2.5 gallons of water and pressurize it with CO2, for about $17 or thereabouts. You can optionally have them add a little acetate to prevent freezing (does freeze=burst?), but don't bother if you keep it in a heated space. Then you have a really serious heft fire exinguisher for class-A fires (water, cloth). This Kidde unit seems well-contructed, industrial-grade, VERY strong and light. Fully charged, it weighs 31 pounds, so most able adults can handle it, albeit with some effort. Buy 2, 1 for each level of your home. This price
